Asuka Tamami

무공은 뛰어나지만 사랑에 약한 청년 정인은 어려서부터 꿈속에서 보아온 여인 고고에게 반해 사랑에 빠져있다. 어느날 마왕이 설산에 있는 큰 얼음덩어리를 찾는 사람에게 포상을 한다는 얘기를 듣고 정인은 사부, 사제와 함께 설산으로 향한다. 세 사람은 온갖 고난과 시험 끝에 얼음덩어리를 찾아내는데, 그 얼음덩어리속에는 정인의 꿈속의 여인 고고가 얼려져 있는 것이다. 고심하던 정인은 얼음을 녹일 방법을 찾아내 고고를 극적으로 만나지만, 고고의 한음지기를 받아들여 개세무공을 이루려는 마왕이 나타나 결투를 벌인다. 이 결투에서 큰 부상을 당한 정인이 사경을 헤매자 고고는 한음지기로 정인을 회생시키고 자신은 기를 잃고 백발노인으로 변해버린다. 그러나 정인과 고고는 영원한 사랑을 맹세하고 마왕과 사생결투를 펼치는데...

Love in Sampan is the tale of an unfortunate young woman named Kiu. As she explains in the opening narration, she has known three men: Wah (a boy who worked in her family's shop), Chuen Wang (a local gang boss whom she is compelled to marry) and Man (a university student). But when she accidentally witnesses her best friend, Kim, fooling around with a man, Kiu's sexual curiosity is truly aroused ... and begins to grow.

There is hidden passion galore as a plain middle aged house wife looks after her wheel chair bound husband who has lost interest in sex. Her young slutty niece, who dresses provocatively wearing thigh high boots, comes to stay with them. There is a nerdy young neighbour who lusts after our Mrs Robinson and of course the ubiquitous local shop keeper who lusts after our young hero for some unknown reason and is a chunky Korean looking actress. The movie is set in the boondocks of HK away from the picturesque city towers that we come to associate with all HK crime melodramas and moves toward ts inevitable finale.
