A Russian cellist is subject to a bomb attack following a performance in Ystad. It turns out that she is a witness in a murder prosecution against a member of the Russian mafia.

Homes are being burgled in Ystad and three neighbors form their own vigilante group. Soon Wallander is convinced the group has committed a double murder, although no bodies have been found.

Shortly after police discovers the murder of three friends, police inspector Wallander finds his friend and colleague Svedberg dead. First, it is believed that Svedberg killed himself but Wallander soon discovers links between Svedberg, the three friends and a fourth person, a young woman in a mental hospital.

기존의 가정과 사회가 강요하는 억압으로부터 벗어나 자유로운 공동체를 이루고자 했던 사람들 이야기. 엘리자베스는 남편에게 싫증을 느껴 짐을 싸고 아이들을 데리고 오빠 고란의 집에 머문다. 평범한 시골 여자인 엘리자베스는 전혀 다른 많은 사람들과 부딪친다. 다른 세계에 살던 사람들이 한 곳에 모이면서 생기는 충돌, 이로 인해 변해가는 그들의 삶에 대한 영화. 사랑과 이혼, 가족의 행복과 불행, 아이와 어른, 친구와 섹스 그리고 축구에 관한 이야기가 담겨있다. (출처: 부산국제영화제)
