A video store clerk stumbles onto an alien plot to take over earth by brainwashing people with a bad '50s science fiction movie. He and his friends race to stop the aliens before the tapes can be distributed world-wide.

로빈(Robin: 레베카 드 모네이 분)은 감옥의 감시탑에서 지붕을 타고 내려와 탈옥에 성공한다. 고속도로에서 벤츠 승용차를 얻어 타고 가나 하필이면 그 차는 뉴멕시코 주지사 후보인 제임스 티어난(James Tiernan: 프랭크 란젤라 분)의 차였다. 티어난은 로빈을 감옥의 체육과 안에 내려주고 사라진다. 죄수복으로 갈아입은 로빈은 목수 빌리(Billy Moran: 빈센트 스파노 분)의 도움으로 간수에게 들키지 않고 죄수 틈에 끼게 된다. 어느 날 텔레비전을 보던 중 티어난을 보게 되고 티어난에게 나갈 수 있게 도와 달라고 요청을 한다. 티어난은, 그 지역 주민과 결혼하고 그녀를 필요로 하는 직장이 있으면 집행 유예로 풀어 주겠다고 약속을 한다. 로빈은 궁리 끝에 목수 빌리와 감옥 안의 교회에서 결혼식을 올리고 석방된다. 그러나 빈둥거리고 놀고 있던 남동생 피터(Peter: 도노반 레이취 분)가 전처의 자식인 6살 짜리 아들 티미(Timmy: 제이미 맥에난 분)를 데리고 있었다. 졸지에 세 남자를 돌봐야 하게 된 것이다.

This movie is an account of US Navy Commander James Stockdale's 8 year imprisonment in North Vietnam. During his confinement in such camps as the infamous "Hanoi Hilton", Stockdale, among other senior officers, led a resistance group against the North Vietnamese, facing torture, isolation, and starvation in attempts to break their wills. Back in the US, Stockdale's wife, Sybil, begins working with other POW wives to try to get information on their husbands and to inform the world on their treatment.

A novelty-salesman moves his family into a new house. Initially dismissing incidents as more of their father's practical jokes, the family soon learns that the house is haunted by people who lived in the house 300 years previously.
