In the previous story, Yoji and Kei rescued Anna, their adoptive mother. Now, they are once again using the Fastening Machine with Oscar, the bear robot, to solve any problems the town is facing. One day, however, a mysterious hero makes her appearance. And she happens to have the same Fastening Machine as Yoji and Kei. Who is this she? Why did she appear? Yoji and Kei, a boy and girl, live in a town in the not-so-distant future with their foster parent, Anna. But these seemingly ordinary children have a secret hidden even from their unsuspecting mother. Yoji and Kei are superhero defenders of their town! With a flap of their capes, the two of them and their robot bear sidekick, Oscar, protect the citizens in their town with their handmade high-tech machinery. But from what menace? 어린 시절 단짝 친구들인 ‘초평화 버스터즈’ 6인방. 수줍은 첫사랑에 어쩔 줄 모르던 어느 여름, ‘멘마’가 갑작스레 모두의 곁을 떠난다. 언제까지나 사이 좋게 지내자고 약속했지만, ‘멘마’와의 이별로 남은 친구들은 뿔뿔이 흩어진다. 모두의 마음에 커다란 상처와 짐을 안은 채. 그리고 5년 후, 팀의 리더였던 ‘진땅’의 앞에 ‘멘마’가 나타난다. 모두와 함께 소원을 이루고 싶다는 그녀. ‘진땅’은 그녀가 진심으로 바라는 소원을 찾기 위해 멀어졌던 친구들을 다시 찾는다. 무심코 준 상처, 전하지 못한 진심. 내일 말하면 된다고 생각하다가 모든 것을 놓쳐버린 그들에게 다시 찾아 온 기회. 친구들 사이에 멈춰있던 시간이 다시 흐르기 시작한다. 과연 이들은 ‘멘마’의 소원을 이루고 한여름의 첫사랑을 되돌릴 수 있을까?

아파트에 거주하는 회사원 노엘에게 부모가 보낸 옷장. 그 안에서 차례차례로 아이들이 나타나 큰 소동이 벌어진다.

The film's story poses the possibility that all of humanity, without exception, live in two worlds of existence: the real world and a second world known as "Hemu". Humans live their lives in Hemu when they sleep in the real world. Hidden in each person is another life of which he or she has no recollection of, except for nightmares which are soon forgotten upon waking up. However, there a few rare individuals who are aware of the existence of Hemu and the curious consequences it has on the real world.

전작 `우주전함 야마토 완결편`에서 폭풍 혹성 `아쿠아리우스`에 가라앉은 전함 야마토를 다시 재건해서, 정체불명의 블랙홀로 부터 지구를 지키기 위해 분투한다는 내용. (후속편이 예정되어 있었으나, 원작자 사망 및 개봉 후 혹평 등 복합적 이유로 후속편은 기대하기 힘든 상황. 본 작품 이후 '우주전함 야마토 2199' 가 실질적인 리부트로 평가되고 있음)

리틀야구팀에서 에이스이자 4번 타자로 활약하던 초등학교 5학년 박찬. 프로야구 선수인 아버지의 갑작스런 팀 이적으로 인해 전학을 온 찬이는 리틀화명자이언츠 야구단에 입단, 어깨 부상임에도 불구하고 타고난 야구감각으로 두각을 드러내며 4번 타자가 된다. 새로운 친구들과 함께 전국대회 진출을 위해 맹훈련을 하는 과정에서 찬이는 야구는 혼자서 하는 게 아니라는 것을 점차 깨닫게 되고, 마침내 우승후보인 리틀광명드래곤 야구단과 결승전을 앞두게 되는데… 과연, 전국대회에서 우승을 차지할 수 있을까? 전설로 기억될 마지막 결승전, 숨막히는 공격이 시작된다!
