조직으로부터 도망쳐 가정을 꾸리고 살고 있는 아화의 집에 손님이 찾아온다. 두명은 두목 페이의 명을 받아 아화를 죽이러 온 친구 포와 페이보이고, 두명은 그들로부터 아화를 지키고자 찾아온 친구 타이와 마오우이다. 오랜 친구 사이인 그들은 아화의 집에서 한바탕 총격전을 벌인 뒤 변변치 못한 살림살이의 아화를 도와 집을 꾸미고 함께 식사를 하며 간만의 화기애애한 시간을 가진다. 그래도 맡은 임무를 무시할 수 없는 포와 나머지 친구들은 고민 끝에 호텔을 운영하는 제프를 찾아간다. 그리하여 거금을 받고 깡패 두목 컹을 죽이는 일을 맡게 되는데, 현장에서 맞닥뜨린 두목 페이와 싸우는 과정에서 아화가 총에 맞고 만다. 이어 아화와 페이가 총상을 치료하고자 찾은 무허가 의원에서 또 한번 총격전이 벌어지고, 결국 아화는 죽음을 맞는다. 아화의 바람대로 나머지 네 친구들은 그를 아내와 아이가 남아 있는 집으로 데려가는데, 아내 진은 오히려 그들에게 죽일 기세로 달려들고, 도망치던 네 친구들은 우연히 애초에 제프가 맡기려 했던 불산 근처의 1t짜리 이동금고 훔치는 일에 뛰어들게 된다. 1t의 금을 손에 넣은 그들은 밝은 미래를 꿈꾸지만 그들을 찾던 진을 인질로 이용해 그들의 소재를 찾아낸 페이에 의해 다시 제프의 호텔로 소환되고, 결국 그 호텔에서 장렬한 최후를 맞는다.

삼합회의 차기 회장을 뽑는 모임이 열린다. 록과 따이디, 두 후보의 경합이 치열한 가운데 따이디는 뇌물을 뿌리며 회장이 되고자 노력하지만 현직 회장 텡의 제안으로 차기 회장은 록으로 결정된다. 이 결정을 수락하지 못한 따이디는 삼합회 멤버들에게 린치를 가하고 전통이 서린 용두 단장을 빼앗으려 하지만 결국 용두 단장은 록의 손에 들어가게 되고 2년 뒤 차기 회장이 되게 해주겠다는 록의 제안에 따이디 는 회장 자리를 단념하고 록 밑에서 일하기로 한다. 록과 따이디 는 홍콩 침사추이 지역을 장악하는 등 큰 성과를 거두어 들이지만 결국 록은 호시탐탐 자리를 욕심 내는 따이디 를 낚시터에서 처치하고야 만다.

The masterminds behind the abduction, Tong's stepmother and her nephew Chan Chi-biu capture also Tse and the children. Tse brilliantly manages to alert Kong. Fighting and apprehending her opponents, Kong frees the hostages and hands the criminals over to the authorities.

Connie Chan Po-chu's character's father was killed by the triads, leaving behind two daughters. The elder sister makes a living as a singer at a nightclub, and is sometimes threatened by triad members. The younger sister (Connie Chan Po-chu), who knows karate, becomes an assassin who punishes villains.
