대학 4년 동안 한번도 제 실력으로 학점을 딴 적이 없는 컨닝의 달인들. 이 세 지능범들이 졸업 시험을 앞두고 마지막 거사(巨事)를 준비하는데 그것은 바로 시험운반용 차량을 털어 졸업 시험지를 입수하는 것! 하지만 원숭이도 나무에서 떨어진다고 했던가, 아니면 너무 자신들의 능력을 과신했던 탓일까, 입수한 시험지를 바꿔치기 하는 중에 결정적으로 주인공 데이브(데본 사와 분)의 이름이 원본 시험지에 남겨지는 실수를 저지르고 만다. 이 실수가 하필이면 안젤라(제임스 킹 분)의 엽기 스토커인 이든(제이슨 슈왈츠맨 분)에게 발각되고, 졸업을 하기 위해 주인공들은 엽기 스토커의 사랑을 연결해주는 대가로 입막음을 하려는 모종의 거래를 하게 된다. 이제 컨닝의 달인들은 스토커의 사랑까지도 컨닝하게 되는 사태가 발생하게 되는데. 하지만 '모종의 거래'에 여자가 끼지 않으면 이야기가 되지 않는 법. 슬랙커즈들의 비밀을 발설하지 않는 조건으로 이든 (제이슨 슈왈츠맨)은 자신의 마음을 송두리째 빼앗아간 캠퍼스 퀸 안젤라와 자신을 연결시켜 줄 것을 요구하고 이를 슬랙커즈들은 쉽사리 수락한다. 하지만 사랑도 컨닝도 맘 먹은대로 되지 않는 것이 세상일. 이든과 안젤라를 연결시켜 주려다 오히려 주인공 데이브는 안젤라를 사랑하고 있음을 깨닫게 되고, 이 둘은 연인사이로 발전하게 된다. 이를 알게 된 이든은 온갖 술수로 방해를 해 결국 이 둘 사이에 오해를 만들게 되고, 안젤라는 데이브에게 이별을 선언한다. 사랑을 택하자니 컨닝 사실이 밝혀져 졸업을 못하고, 졸업을 택하자니 사랑이 울고. 컨닝계의 거물인 데이브와 두 친구들(제이슨 시걸 / 미카엘 마로나 분)은 이제 사랑과 졸업 사이에서 한 가지 선택을 해야 한다. 그러나 이에 물러선다면 슬래커즈 체면이 말이 아니다! 주인공들은 두 마리 토끼를 다 잡기 위해 재학시절 마지막 실력발휘(?)를 할 엄청난 계획을 꾸미게 되는데.

파란 만장했던 고교시절을 보내고 대학생활을 시작한 짐, 케빈, 오즈, 핀치 그리고 스티플러 이렇게 5명의 친구들은 이제 대학생이 되어 맞게 되는 첫 여름방학을 맞아 고향에서 다시 뭉친다. 아직도 섹스와 예쁜 여자만 집착하는 5명의 말썽꾸러기 친구들은 어떻게 하면 환상적으로 첫 여름방학을 보낼까 궁리를 하던 중에 케빈의 형 조언대로 해변가에 빌라를 빌려 각자의 파트너들과 친구들을 불러 멋진 파티를 열어 그야말로 최고의 추억을 만들 계획을 세우게 된다.
