유태계 그리이스인인 젊은 복서 살라모(윌리암 데포 분)는 아버지, 어머니, 동생 아브람, 그리고 누 줄리와 함께 넉넉한 살림은 아니어도 그리이스의 작은 항구도시에서 평화롭게 살면서 친구 자코와 어릴적부터 함께 권투를 배우며 자라왔다. 장래 세계 챔피언을 꿈꾸며 지역 미들급 챔피언 자닐 따나는 등 상당한 촉망 받는 젊은 권투선수이기도 하다. 그러나 나찌 독일군이 그리이스를 점령하면서 모든 상황은 갑자기 바뀐다. 친구 자코는 저항군에 가담하게 되고 그로 인해 자코의 가족은 독일군한테 사살된다. 모든 유태인들이 독일군을 피해 숨어 살게 되고 그 와중에도 살라모는 애인인 알레그라와 어두운 극장에서 몰래 만나 데이트를 즐긴다. 그러나 그것도 잠시뿐이었고 곧 살라모의 가족을 위시하여 알레그라의 가족 등 모든 유태인들이 독일군에 체포되어 강제로 기차에 실려 아우슈비쯔로 끌려간다. 아우슈비쯔수용소로 끌려간 모든 유태인들은 남녀로 나뉘어 인간이하의 대접을 받으며 강제로 노동에 시달린다. 그 와중에 작업 도중 죄수 감독관과 우연히 시비가 붙어 싸움을 벌이게 된 살라모는 뛰어난 권투 솜씨로 상대방을 때려 뉘고, 그것이 독일군 장교 라우셰의 눈에 띄어 죽음의 시합을 벌여야 하는 권투선수가 된다. 그러나 살라모는 모는 선수들을 다 물리치고 영원한 승자로 군림한다. 그러던 어느날 죽은 죄수들의 시체를 소각하는 일에 차출된 동생 아브람은 차마 인간 이하의 짓을 할 수가 없어 작업을 거부하다 죽음을 당하고 ...

Martial Law in Poland. Marek the journalist steals a truck and starts his quest.

Made in 1982, shelved for five years. Story opens with Lucja Krol's husband under the tram. She gives birth to her fourth son on the floor of their new apartment. Neighbor Wiktor, a communist intellectual, befriends the poverty-stricken family but is soon arrested and sent to jail. During the war Lucja narrowly escapes a Nazi roundup at the black market. Her sons hold ardent Communist meetings in their apartment, with her blessing. Lucja works hard, but without complaint. After the war, Klemens is inexplicably arrested, accused by the new regime of being a collaborator. Wiktor, now a high-ranking party member, trying to defend him, himself falls into disgrace. Klemens is tortured to "confess" and dies in jail, a Communist to the end. Lucja is never told about his fate.

A psychological portrait of Ewa, a young Polish theatre actress searching for her own way in life. She plays a minor role in Jasieński's 'The Ball of Mannequins', a complete opposite of her real personality, while aspires to star as Cordelia in Shakespeare's 'King Lear'. Ewa lives on her own, occasionally visiting a famous old actress to talk about theatre, taking care of a poor neighbor, and fights her sophisticated mother rejecting the truth about her beloved father, who died an alcoholic.

Film about a young man, who wants to become an actor. His rural upbringing is not helpful in achieving his goal, but he overcomes defeat and humiliation with the help of a benevolent old professor.

The film is set in 1905, in a time of feverish revolutionary underground activity in Poland partitioned between three neighbours. All the characters are committed anarchists. The bomb maker puts an invention together to place it at the disposal of young inexperienced terrorists fighting against Tsarist oppression. The story follows the passing of this bomb from anarchist to anarchist as several attempts are made on the life of Tsarist governor general, until, at the end, it is effectively and harmlessly defused by a bomb expert. The presence of the bomb has a destroying effect on all of the Polish revolutionaries, they either die or breakdown.

The year is 1998 and the world is in an ecological cataclysm: there is shortage of water, environment is polluted and being outside brings high risks. The main character is a tv technician, Jan, an individualist, who is harassed by the conformists. Jan loves Ewa, a ballet student, who in turn is in a liaison with Allan, a successful and powerful man.

이 영화는 1980년대 말 폴란드의 공산정권을 붕괴시킨 거대한 자유노조운동에 대한 이야기이다. 속편에 등장했던 다큐멘터리 감독 아그니에츠카(크리스티나 잔다 분)가 다시 모습을 드러내는데 그녀는 폴란드 노동자의 영웅이었던 비르쿠트의 아들 마테우시(예르지 래드지빌로빅츠 분)의 아내가 되어있다. 마테우시는 1980년 그단스크에서 발생한 파업에서 자유노조운동에 앞선 주동자로, 지식인들이 노조에 가입하도록 설득한다. 영화는 가까운 미래의 화면과 그단스크의 새로운 파업을 교차로 보여줌으로써 결과에 대한 예상과 함께 기대를 하게 한다.

The main character, nicknamed "Teddy Bear" by his friends and acquaintances, is a manager of a sports club in Poland. One day he is detained at the border just as his sport team is off to a tournament. It appears that somebody has torn out a few pages from his passport. It occurs to him that perhaps his ex-wife has done it in order to get her hands on their joint account in a London bank. Therefore, he has to get to London as soon as possible in order to transfer the money to a different bank. The solution is taking part in a movie, made by his friend. The script requires a double role, thus the search for another actor is announced. The double has to apply for the passport, and that is solved through a girlfriend who agrees to play the dope's new fiancée. At the engagement party he is slipped a drug, and Teddy Bear runs off to the airport with the false passport. On the plane, however, he meets his ex-wife...
