요리 대결이란 소재로 무술 대결을 풍자한 하이코미디. 중국 최고의 요리경연대회에 출전한 용곤보는 우승을 차지하지만, 대회 도중에 유력한 우승후보 요걸의 기권으로 마음 한구석이 개운치 않다. 한편 범죄 세계에서 손을 씻고 캐나다로 이민을 결심한 조항생은 요리사 자격증을 따기 위해 시험을 보지만 낙방하고, 용곤보의 소개로 구조풍에게 궁중요리로 실력을 겨루자고 한다. 허나 곧 속았다는 것을 안 구조풍은 그 충격으로 입원한다. 조항생과 구조풍의 딸, 구가혜는 아버지를 돕기 위해 5년전 종적을 감춘 요걸을 찾아 나서지만 에인과의 이별로 인해 충격을 받은 요걸은 폐인이 되어 있었다. 조항생이 요걸의 애인 탁빙을 찾아내어 요걸을 만나게 하자 요걸은 어려운 훈련을 거쳐 옛 실력을 찾아 마침내 황영과 요리 대결을 펼친다. 치열한 대결을 하던 두 사람은 무승부를 이루고 최후의 결전을 벌인다.
