Just out of jail, Fai finds a spot on a street corner where other homeless people welcome him. But he doesn’t get much time to settle in. The police soon chase them away, and their possessions disappear into a garbage truck. Young social worker Ms Ho thinks it’s time to fight this in court. In the meantime, Fai and his friends have other concerns.

스페셜 멘션 홍콩의 뒷골목에서 포르노 테이프를 팔아 생계를 연명하는 본토인 아 지엔과 가라오케에서 호스티스를 하다가 새로운 미래를 개척하고자 홍콩으로 이주해온 아 잉, 레스토랑 접수계원으로 더 이상 나아질 것 없는 무료한 일상을 보내는 아 얀, 해난 섬에서 이주해온 외로운 남자 아 츈. 이들의 관계 속에서 세기말의 홍콩의 모습과 암울함 속에서도 다른 방식의 행복을 찾아가는 홍콩 사회의 단면을 들여다 볼 수 있다.

Ordinary Heroes is a narration about the life stories of an advocate, a prostitute, a social worker, and a priest during the social movements from 1970s to 1980s in Hong Kong. The film is based upon true stories.
