When a comet passes the Earth very closely, it pulls a small part of North Africa, and a small swathe of humanity, along with it.

The Stolen Airship (Czech: Ukradená vzducholod) is a 1967 live-action/animated film by Czech filmmaker Karel Zeman. The story is based loosely on Jules Verne's novels Two Years' Vacation and The Mysterious Island. The film in Art Nouveau style consists of live-action scenes, generally shot in black and white, as well as hand-drawn, stop motion, and cutout animation. Various live-action and animated elements are often composited into the same scene.

야심으로 가득 찬 아티거스는 상상을 초월한 막강한 폭발물을 발명한 천재 발명가 박사와 그의 조수를 그의 섬에 납치하고 그 폭발물의 힘을 빌려 세계를 위협하려 한다. 박사의 조수는 아티거스의 계략을 눈치채고 섬에서 도망치려 하지만 뜻밖의 일들에 휩싸이게 된다. 쥘 베른의 원작 소설을 카렐 제만의 독특한 상상력으로 새롭게 재탄생시킨 작품으로 라이브 액션과 애니메이션으로 조합된 그만의 순수한 스타일이 처음으로 드러난 작품이다. 이런 독특한 스타일은 20세기 초반 프랑스의 영화감독 조르주 멜리어스(Georges Melies)의 무성영화들과 소설가 쥘 베른의 첫 번째 책에 그림을 그려 넣었던 프랑스의 화가들, 리옹(Rion)과 베넷(Bennet) 의 영향을 받았다. 1958 브뤼셀 엑스포-58 장편부분 그랑프리 수상. 1958 프랑스 영화 아카데미 국제 그랑프리 수상.

Komedianti is a 1954 Czech film directed by Vladimír Vlcek. It was entered into the 1954 Cannes Film Festival.

It's very human and nice story about lofty princess (her father is amiable but incapable - unforgettable performance of S. Neumann) and good, nice, kind and well-principled young king (prince) who tries to make tender her calm heart to get married with her. After being refused (she's very capricious), he conclude to make her better. He start to work as a gardener at her castle (in secret) and successively bring she to her senses...The story continues when already reformed princess and the young king (she learn about his real identity later) have to take refuge from troops, that princess father (old king) has sent (of course he took a bad and mean counsellors advice). They have to take shelter by several ordinary and poor families, which are always very friendly and give them a help... Of course the tale has happy end.
