A North Korean coal miner struggles to realize her dream of becoming a circus acrobat.
Pyongyang, DPRK: Two ex-child gymnasts find themselves working together as directors in charge of the production of "mass games" (aka mass gymnastics, a North Korean specialty). Their joint area of responsibility is the youngest children's performance. However the two directors have different personalities and priorities. Their co-operation is less than friction-free as the pressure leading up to the performance increases. The two find that they work no better together as adults than they did as children. However there is still a bit of a spark between them. Will they manage to finish the production in time for the grand opening in front of the country's Leader? Are the children up for the challenge? Will any romance come out of all this....
A squadron of North Korean soldiers during the Korean war must scramble across dangerous terrain to cut off an American attack (with only the eponymous 12 hours in which to do it). With a commander whose health is failing him, a group of young but fiercely patriotic soldiers the DPRK army manage to hold off the Yanks (who foolishly informed the press of their planned attack before going through with it).

북한의 조선예술영화제작소가 1986년에 제작한 순수 극영화로 이념과 사상을 배제한 완성도 높은 북한내 최고 흥행작. 홍길동은 홍판서와 몸종 춘섬 사이에서 태어나 늘 천대를 받고 자란다. 본처 유씨는 길동 모자를 없앨 흉계를 꾸민다. 산 속에 들어가 도술을 닦은 홍길동은 총명하여 재주와 학식이 뛰어나고 둔갑술도 알고 있었다. 그는 집안 사람들의 멸시를 참지 못하여 집을 뛰쳐나와 적굴에 들어간 후 두목이 되어 활빈당을 조직한다. 홍길동은 각 지방의 탐관오리들과 토호들의 부정 축재한 재물을 탈취하는 등, 가난한 양민을 돕는다. 바다를 건너 온 도적들의 무리가 재물을 약탈하고 왕궁에까지 쳐들어가 국보를 훔쳐가자 길동은 용감하게 나서 국보를 찾아내고 나라에 큰공을 세운다. 그러나 왕은 천첩의 자식이라고 하여 사랑하는 처녀와 짝을 이루고 싶어하는 그의 소원을 들어주지 않는다. 기약할 수 없는 뱃길에 몸을 맡긴 홍길동은 어디론가 정처없이 떠난다.
