The Bread Factory is the scene for rehearsals of the Greek play Hecuba. But the real theatrics are outside the theater, with the town invaded by bizarre tourists and mysterious tech start-up workers. There is a new normal in Checkford, if it is even really Checkford any longer.

After 40 years of running their community arts space The Bread Factory, Dorothea and Greta are suddenly fighting for survival when a pair of celebrity performance artists from China come to Checkford and build an enormous complex down the street, catapulting big changes in their small town.

MIB는 지구인의 모습으로 살고 있는 외계인들을 감시하고 외계인의 정체를 보호하며 혹시라도 일반인이 그들이 외계인임을 알아차리면 기억 말소 장치를 이용해 외계인들을 보호한다. 그러나 사악한 바퀴벌레 외계인 에드가가 지구에 침투해 오면서 이민외계인들은 불안해 하는 등 동요하기 시작한다. 이 때 지구를 방문한 외교 사절이 암살당하는 사건이 발생해 은하계가 전면전에 돌입하자 지구는 멸망의 위기에 처한다. 지구를 지키고 우주의 평화를 지키기 위해 에드워드와 케이는 에드가와의 결전을 준비하는데...

설리(Sully: 폴 뉴먼 분)는 노스바스에서 알아주는 괴짜다. 환갑의 나이에 건축현장에서 날품팔이 노무자로 일하고 있는 그는 현재 중학교 시절 자신의 담임 선생님이었던 베릴 여사(Miss Beryl: 제시카 탠디 분)의 집에서 하숙을 하고있는 신세다. 그는 젊어서 결혼한 지 얼마 안돼 생후 일년된 아들과 아내를 내버려두고 집을 나갔다. 그리곤 다시 가족을 찾지도 돌보지도 미안해하지도 않았다. 그에게 내일은 없다. 그냥 하루 하루 그만의 재미를 찾으며 산다. 그렇다고 특별히 방탕하거나 무책임한 것도 아니다. 다만 세상의 기준으로 볼 땐 책임없는 가장임에 틀림없지만, 그렇게 공사장 기술자로 일하며 평생을 바람처럼 산다. 그것도 전처와 같은 동네에서 얼굴 마주치지 않고, 불편하지도 않고, 가진 것 없음에 초조해 하지 않으며 산다. 그렇게 바람처럼 살길 60년, 그도 이제 노인의 문턱을 넘어선다. 그는 한번도 재판에서 이겨본 적 없는 돌팔이 변호사 월프(Wirf: 젠 삭스 분)와 함께 별 소득도 없는 소송을 일삼고 백치나 다름없는 러브(Rub Squeers: 프러이트 테일러 빈스 분)를 가장 친한 친구로 삼는 등 다양한 괴짜 행각을 벌인다. 그런 설리와 가장 마음이 통하는 상대는 섹시한 토비(Toby Roebuck: 멜라니 그리피스 분). 설리는 아직도 젊은 여자들에게 매력적인 남자라는 환상에 빠져 언젠간 토비를 유혹할 수 있을 거라고 기대한다. 그러나 그녀는 유부녀였고 더욱 불행한 것은 자신을 가끔 고용해주는 팁 건설 회사의 깐깐한 소장 칼(Carl Roebuck: 브루스 윌리스 분)의 부인이라는 사실인데...

When they can no longer take working for Polowski, who does shoddy work and is abusive to his staff, Mac and his brothers set up their own company. Together, Vitelli Brothers Construction builds houses with pride and care. But Mac turns out to be an overbearing workaholic, with obsessive concern about the quality of their work and incredible attention to detail. His intensity and driven ambition precludes a happy family life and begins to drive his brothers away.

In this modern day version of Shakespeare's Macbeth, a hitman heeds a spiritualist's prophesies that he will rise to the head of his family.
