이집트 알렉산드리아 항에 거대 상어인 '메갈로돈'이 나타나 배를 침몰시키고 인간을 공격하자 전 세계는 공포에 빠진다. 미 해군은 거대 상어를 상대하기 위해 거대상어 로봇 '메가 샤크'를 만들고, '로지'와 '잭'은 이를 조종해 거대 상어와 맞선다.
