사관학교의 이사장인 버드는 생도이자 조카인 테드에게 신변의 위험이 생긴 것을 직감하고 특전사 전역요원인 칼 토마슨에게 도움을 요청한다. 이에 칼은 역사학을 가르친다는 명분으로 새로이 부임하고 곧 사관학교 내에서 이상한 일들이 벌어지고 있는 것을 느낀다. 사관학교 교장이자 사령관인 브랙 대령은 철저한 군인 정신으로 무장한 인물로 학생들을 실제 전투부대 보다 더 엄격하고 강한 규율로 교육을 시키고 있다. 그러던 중 몇몇 생도들이 상당히 급진적인 우익 성향을 보이고 있다는 사실을 깨닫게 된 칼은 곧 그들이 신 나치즘을 신봉하는 막시스트들임을 알게 된다. 그들은 '늑대 인간' 당이라는 엘리트 조직을 만들어 비밀리에 군사 훈련을 하고 브랙 대령이 이끄는 조직으로 백인 지상 사회의 건설을 꿈군다. 칼은 여장교이자 의학박사인 제니와 가까워지기 시작하지만 그녀가 브랙 대령의 연인이라는 사실에 놀란다. 그녀는 브랙 대령의 지시로 자신을 감시하기 위해 일부러 접근한 것이었다. 칼은 늑대인간당 생도들의 자체 군사 훈련이 실제 상황임을 알게 되는데...

하워드(Howard Langston: 아놀드 슈왈제네거 분)는 의욕적이고 능력있는 사업가. 그러나 일이 너무 바쁘다보니 본의 아니게 아들 제이미(Jamie Langston: 제이크 로이드 분)와 아내 리즈(Liz Langston: 리타 윌슨 분)에게는 평균 점수 이하의 가장일 수 밖에 없다. 반면 그의 옆집에 사는 이혼남 테드(Ted Maltin: 필 하트먼 분)는 아들에게 극진한 정성을 보이는 완벽한 아빠. 테드의 존재로 인해 하워드는 늘 자신이 부족한 아빠라는 컴플렉스에 시달린다. 크리스마스를 이틀 앞둔 어느날, 하워드는 아들에게 크리스마스 선물로 터보맨이라는 로봇 인형을 사주기로 했던 걸 깜빡 잊고 있었음을 깨닫는다. 모처럼 아들에게 점수를 만회할 기회를 잘못하면 망치게 된 것. 그는 터보맨 인형을 사러 이브날 아침 일찍 백화점으로 달려가지만 그해에 아이들에게 가장 인기있는 선물 터보맨은 이미 동이 나고 없었다. 그때부터 터보맨 인형을 사기위한 하워드의 필사적이고 눈물겨운 노력이 시작된다. 한편 하워드 못지않게 필사적으로 터보맨을 사려는 우체부 마이런 라라비(Myron Larabee: 신밧드 분)가 가는 곳마다 나타나서 하워드를 괴롭힌다.

Kids' comedy with all the clichés. Six boys (hero, pudgy, dumb, romeo, etc), reluctantly sent to summer camp, are grouped together in a ramshackle hut, and instantly identified as losers and outcasts by the overconfident camp bullies, who target gorgeous Tiffany (Jakub) as their Lothario's girlfriend. They set out to make everyone's life miserable as they impose their authority on the other kids and ineffective counselors alike. Andy, the good-guy hero, of course has a crush on Tiffany, but hasn't a clue how to approach her. Gradually, the nice guys gain the edge over the bullies, by honest endeavor and standing up for themselves - and in doing so, win over the other kids, even Tiffany. Until the bullies frame them and have them expelled.
