The event will be headlined by Marloes Coenen vs Cristiane Santos to crown the first Invicta FC Featherweight Champion. It has been stated that the winner between Leslie Smith and Jennifer Maia will get a title shot against Flyweight Champion Barb Honchak

Invicta FC 4: Esparza vs. Hyatt was a mixed martial arts event held on January 5, 2013 at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. The event will be headlined by a strawweight championship bout between Carla Esparza and Bec Hyatt. Esparza was originally scheduled to fight Ayaka Hamasaki for the title but Hamasaki pulled out of the fight due to commitments to defending her JEWELS lightweight title in December and was replaced by undefeated Brazilian fighter Claudia Gadelha. On December 28, Gadelha was forced to withdraw from the main event title fight after suffering a broken nose in training. Gadelha was replaced by Bec Hyatt, who was originally set to face Joanne Calderwood.
