First Assistant Director
눈으로 뒤덮인 산속의 조용한 바. 한 남자가 드물게 찾아오는 사람들을 맞이하며 잘 통하지 않는 언어로 대화를 나눈다. 춥고 외롭지만 평화로워 보이던 남자는 가끔 그의 영혼이 분리돼 움직이는 것을 인식하고, 결국 꿈인지 환상인지 모를 림보 상태에 빠진다.

클레오는 소피아 가족의 일상 전반을 책임지는 하녀다. 엉망인 운전 실력을 가진 소피아, 외도를 하는 듯한 그의 남편, 그리고 네 아이를 보살피느라 바쁜 와중에도 틈틈이 동료 하녀 아델라와 수다를 떨고 남자친구 페르민과 데이트를 하는 등 소소한 즐거움은 챙기고 있다. 그의 일상이 심각한 위기를 맞는 것은 예기치 못한 임신을 하고부터. 무책임한 애인에게 외면당하고 대규모 시위가 있던 날 끔찍한 일까지 겪게 된 클레오. 막 남편과 갈라선 소피아는 비통을 내색하지 않는 그에게 다 같이 여행을 가지 않겠느냐고 제안한다.

Two brothers, Samuel and Rodrigo, live with their mother in a suburban town. One day the mother, who has mental health problems, disappears leaving nothing behind but a note. David Pablos is a young Mexican filmmaker, born in 1982. His first short film, El mundo al atardecer, was made in 2007. La canción de los niños muertos (2008) was his second short film; he presented his first feature-length film Una frontera, todas las fronteras (2010) at the Berlinale Talent Campus before coming to Venice with his second film, La vida despues, for the 70th Venice International Film Festival.

Ivan lives with his mother in the daily routine. Without prior notice, Jacobo, the oldest son who was absent, comes back home; desperate for his own situation he decides to start a short trip with his younger brother, Ivan. All along the journey they will learn to understand each other, they will try to make up for lost time and rebuild their affective bonds.
Director
Jorge and Diego, two rival brothers who haven't seen each other in a long time, are reunited when their father dies and they decide to make a trip to the house of their infancy. The contact with the past and the secrets that come to light worsens the rivalry between the brothers and confronts them in a situation that will change their lives.
