주인공 둘세는 집에서 피를 흘린 채 쓰러졌다 깨어난다. 남편은 죽어있고, 아들은 눈 앞에서 갑자기 사라져 버린다. 둘세는 남편과 아들의 살해 혐의로 수감되고, 30년 후 가택연금 형태로 집으로 돌아온다. 이후 둘세는 집에서 한 신부와의 만남을 이어가고, 자신의 무죄를 믿는 신부에게 그녀는 집이 범인이라고 말한다. 영화는 이처럼 과거의 한 사건에서부터 시작이 된다. 그리고 사건 발생 이후, 30년을 뛰어넘으면서 본격적인 이야기는 전개된다. 30년 마다 과거, 현재, 미래가 동시에 열리는 순간이 밝혀지며 영화는 불투명하고 혼란스럽게 과거의 사실들을 파헤친다.
