Tarō Shigaki (志垣 太郎, Shigaki Tarō, September 22, 1951) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. His real name is 河村 稔. He is a graduate of Nihon University College of Art. He is 170 cm tall and weighs 59 kg. Actress Noriko Shirasaka (白坂 紀子) is his wife. He works for Oscar Promotion.
In 1969, he made his debut as the leading role in Star of the Giants (巨人の星, Kyojin no Hoshi). His leading works include 1974 Fuji TV The Blue Mountains (青い山脈, Aoi sanmyaku), Akantare (あかんたれ), Like an Iceberg (氷山のごとく, Hyōzan nogotoku) and Horror of the Wolf (狼の紋章, Ōkami no monshō). Currently, he is also active as a reporter for gourmet and travel programs. In dramas and historical dramas, he plays a wide range of roles, from comical to serious ones.
One day, Naoto receives a package. Inside he finds a book, ‘LIVE’. At the same time, he receives an image on mobile phone of his mother being kidnapped and a call from a mysterious man. “If you don’ t want us to inject the killer virus in your mother, find the hints hidden in the novel and head for the goal in the death race!” Naoto starts running to save his mother with the book in his hand.
