말하는 개들이 나오는 코믹 가족물.우주 저편의 머나먼 별 시리어스, 일명 '개들의 별(Dog Star)'은 수천년 전부터 지구 침공을 위한 정보 수집을 위해 개들을 지구로 보낸다. 하지만 지구로부터 아무런 정보를 받지 못하자, 시리어스 군대는 급기야 최고의 개, 카니드 3942를 지구로 급파한다. 막상 지구에 도착한 카니드는 인간의 애완동물로 살아가고 있는 개들을 보면서 당황하지만, 이내 이웃집 개들의 산보를 시키는 일을 하고 있는 인간 소년 오웬에게 친밀감을 느끼게 된다. 곧 지구의 모든 개들이 시리어스로 소환될 상황이 발생하면서, 오웬과 카니드(오웬은 '허블'이라 부른다)는 이를 막기위해 동분서주하는데.
