Among the other honky-tonk legends are Ray Price ("Heartaches by the Number"), Porter Wagoner ("Misery Loves Company"), Dave Dudley ("Six Days on the Road"), Ernest Tubb ("Walking the Floor Over You") and Bobby Bare ("Detroit City").

The Texas Tornados brought their Tex-Mex sound to the Austin City Limits TV show in 1990. Now that performance is available on DVD. It features Doug Sahm, Freddy Fender, Augie Meyers, and Flaco Jimenez at their best!

뉴멕시코주의 한적한 마을 밀라그로는 인구 426명의 다소 황폐한 산골 마을이다. 300여 년간 변함없이 지내온 작은 밀라그로 마을에 대단위 위락 시설이 개발된다. 어느날 멕시코계 미국인인 죠가 황폐한 땅에 콩 농장을 개간하게 된다. 자신의 농장에 물을 대고자 대개발 회사에 의해 점유된 물을 무단 사용하면서부터 죠와 마을 사람들에게 저항키 어려운 사건들이 연속 발생한다. 고급 위락시설 바로 앞에 자리한 땅콩 농장을 짓밟아 버리려고 폭련 탄압과 갖은 약랄한 수단을 동원하는 개발회사 사람들, 이에 대항하는 죠의 친구들과 마을 노인들. 이런 과정에서 죠는 실수로 노인을 총으로 쏘게 되고 마을 회의는 논란을 거듭하며 벽에 부딪힌다.
