Based on the writings of a true life, vision-impaired lawyer comes a story about a blind man who manages to pass the extremely difficult bar exam and earn his lawyer’s license. Long desiring to help the weak, Kensuke Okochi gets a job at an attorney’s office while he and his wife, also blind, look forward to their first child. When a plaintiff in a divorce case decides to withdraw from litigation, Kensuke worries at first that it has to do with his own perceived inadequacies as a lawyer, but a few days later, he is visited by the female plaintiff, Satomi, showing injuries to her body. While it appears an open and shut case of domestic violence with an audio recording as proof, Kensuke detects a “certain scent” coming from the plaintiff which gives him pause as to her real intentions.

After the attack on the Chief Cabinet Secretary, the next duty of the fourth office will be to guard the National Assembly building. In the midst of security, Ogata keeps Inoue away from the main conference hall and puts his well-thought-out plan into action, and the parliament building is controlled by SPs and terrorists who support the revolution. 대학 강사인 사토미는 가족들과 고향에 다녀오는 길에 업무상 급히 보낼 메일 때문에 공중전화에 들른다. 공중전화 박스 안에서 발견한 신문 조각에는 자신의 딸 나나가 사고로 죽었다는 기사가 실려 있다. 이를 발견함과 동시에 신문 기사와 똑같이 나나는 사고로 죽는다. 3년 후, 사토미는 부인 아야카와 이혼을 하고 고등학교 선생님을 하고 있다. 그리고 나나 때 처럼 신문이 사토미에게 날아오고 사토미가 가르치는 학생 중 와카쿠보라는 여학생에게도 신문이 도착한다. 어느 날 사토미에게 날아온 신문에는 와카쿠보의 죽음을 예고하는 내용이 실려 있었고, 와카쿠보를 찾아간 사토미의 눈앞에서 와카쿠보는 죽는다. 한편 사토미의 부인 아야카는 대학에서 염사 사진에 대해 연구를 하고 있던 중, 염사 사진을 찍는 여자를 만난다. 그리고 남편이 봤다던 신문이 '공포 신문'이라고 불리며, 기가타 레이라는 사람이 그 이름을 붙였다는 사실을 알게 된다. 어느 날 염사 사진을 찍는 여자에게서 전화가 걸려 오고 이상한 느낌을 받은 아야카는 그녀의 집으로 찾아간다. 그러나 그녀는 사진 1장을 손에 쥐고 죽어 있었다. 그 사진을 본 아야카는 깜짝 놀라고 사토미에게 전화를 건다. 사진은 시토미의 죽음을 예고하는 공포 신문이었던 것이다. 결국 공포 신문을 받게 되는 사람들이 모두 죽는다는 사실을 알게 된 사토미와 아야카. 둘은 공포 신문을 연구한 기가타 레이의 집을 찾아간다. 그 집에서 발견한 비디오 테이프에는 신문에 예고된 미래를 바꿀 수 있다는 기가타 레이의 실험 내용이 담겨 있었다. 사토미에게 날아온 또 1장의 신문에는 아야카의 사고 기사가 실려 있었다. 어렵게 아야카를 살려낸 사토미는 미래를 바꿀 수 있다고 확신한다. 그러던 어느 날 사토미는 과거로 돌아가게 되고 나나가 죽던 사고 당일에 이른다. 사토미는 필사적으로 아야카와 나나를 구해내고 자신은 죽음을 맞이한다. 그리고 길바닥에 쓰러져 있는 나나에게 사토미의 사고 기사가 실린 신문이 날아온다.

The story opens with Yukiko and her business partner in Moscow searching for Russian items for their store in Tokyo. There they meet a Russian translator, Nicholai, played by Sergei Nakariakov - a trumpeter from Russia. Some months later after they have returned, Nicholai and Yukiko meet again while he is auditioning for the Tokyo orchestra where seeds of romance begin. Yukiko's father, however, is diagnosed with a terminal case of cancer. Yukiko returns home to be with him in his final months as he decides not to go through therapy and let the disease run its course. Coming into contact with a childhood friend while at home Yukiko is left to choose between her old friend and Nicholai, all while having to face the emotional struggle of dealing with her father's impending death.

This movie is a period film about the riot and Gujo farmers fighting for their tenacity of purpose. The farmers had suffered enough from heavy taxes and decided to rise up in riot when the domain lord, Yorikane, issued a new act, which practically forced tax increases. Asking the lord to retract the act, they pour down to the Hachiman Castle. For once they attain the repeal deed signed by the chief retainer. However the promise is broken. Now the farmers decide to make a direct plea to the Edo Residence…This film is full tension and breathless moments.

마쓰에는 고치현의 두목, 기류인 마사고로(鬼龍院政五郞)의 양녀가 되어 기류인 일가에 들어간다. 안채에는 마사고로의 정실 부인이, 건너편에 첩, 보탄과 쇼치쿠가 살고 있는데, 마사고로가 집에 들어오는 날을 두 첩에게 전달하는 것도 어린 마쓰에의 일이었다. 어느 날 마사고로는 여자와 부하들을 데리고 고치현의 명물인 투견을 보러 가고 그곳에서 어부 가네마쓰와 아카오카의 두목 스에나가 사이에 일어난 싸움을 중재하게 된다.

The president of the Japanese National Railways is found dead during a period in which train service is plagued by numerous layoffs, strikes and shutdowns. The government says that the president was murdered; the police claim it was a suicide. A quizzical reporter follows the case for years, but the basic question remains unanswered: was the victim killed by members of the burgeoning Communist movement in Japan, or was the death stage-managed by the authorities in hopes of discrediting the Communists?

An industrialist is diagnosed with terminal cancer. He is on a trip to Europe at the time, and a glimpse of a Japanese woman in that setting causes him to fantasize about her as the personification of his impending death. As his dialogue with his imagined mortality continues, he actually meets the living woman who is the template for his fantasy, and together they tour rural churches. Gradually he comes to some kind of peace about the diagnosis. When he returns to Japan, he is met with a series of challenges which profoundly test the lessons he has learned.
