비실이와 퉁퉁이가 자기들 마음대로 방학에 아프리카 오지로 모험을 떠나기로 하고 그 장소를 진구와 도라에몽에게 알아보라고 떠민다. 그러는 중 진구는 심부름을 가게 되고 그러면서 한 마리의 묘한 개와 만나게 된다. 이런저런 과정을 거쳐 개를 돌보게된 진구는 개에게 페코라는 이름을 붙여준다. 이후 거대한 석상이 찍힌 사진을 발견하고, 이것을 계기로 진구와 친구들은 아프리카로 모험을 떠나게 된다.

The story tells the adventures of the boy, 21 emon, engaged in the management of a hotel belonging to his family for years. In his problems, 21 emons is helped by the robot Gonsuke and the little alien Monga.
