친구를 찾아 일본에 온 중국 무림의 고수 왕강은 일본에서 우연히 만나게 된 중국인 향영 부부와 친구가 됩니다. 일행이 길을 가던 중 지방에서 중앙으로 보내는 진상품의 행렬을 만나게 되는데 향영의 아들 소영때문에 행렬이 무너지는 사고가 생깁니다. 그 일이 알려지면 자신들의 체면이 손상될 것을 우려한 호위 무사들은 주변에 있던 목격자들을 모조리 살해하고는 왕강에게 누명을 뒤집어 씌웁니다. 한편, 그 주변을 지나가던 맹인 안마사 자토이치는 황영의 시체를 붙잡고 울고 있는 소영을 발견합니다.
