In the late 21st century, humankind came under a fierce attack from aliens who suddenly appeared via wormholes. They were helpless to fight against them and resigned themselves to imminent death. At that time, an ultimate weapon which could create items out of imagination was discovered in a expansive cave under Japan, along with its young master Ryuusei who was in cryostasis. The indiscriminate alien attacks awoke him and he led the humans to a decisive victory. The Defence Force of Earth decided to recruit girls with potential to fight. Even though they hesitated at first, they each had their own reasons to join. Thus, the special force ‘Blade Briders’ was formed, to protect the Earth against the aliens who have returned.

전쟁이 일어날것 같은 긴장 상태에 놓여있는 두 국가를 사이에 두고 분쟁을 막으려한 한 여가수의 죽음을 배경으로 루팡과 그의 파트너 지겐 다이스케와 암살자의 싸움을 그리고 있다. 루팡3세의 외전으로써, 루팡이 아닌 지겐 다이스케를 주역으로 진행되는 점이 특징이다.

흉악한 죄인들은 지옥의 영원한 감옥을 탈출하기로 하고, 사신 대행인 이치고가 자유의 열쇠임을 알게 된다. 죄인들은 공격을 개시하고 이치고의 여동생을 납치한다.
