In 1989, Lara Hill, accompanies her art historian father to an abandoned castle across the Iron Curtain. From a car crash outside of the castle, emerges the beautiful and mysterious Carmilla. Lara secrets Carmilla into the castle and the two are drawn into an intoxicating relationship. But when Carmilla mysteriously disappears, and women of the town begin committing suicide, Lara’s psychic wounds erupt into a living nightmare that consumes the entire town of Styria.

Carlos and May are getting married, but due to Carlos’ strict upbringing they still haven't had sex. After meeting his controlling mother on the night before the wedding, May rebelliously slips into his fiancé’s quarters and seduces him. The next day, as she stands on the altar, May notices that her sweet Carlos is no longer the same. As the party unfolds, he begins to lose control of his impulses, unleashing an epidemic that removes other guests’ social and moral filters, and turns the joyful event into an apocalyptic nightmare.
