Doe Maar was a Dutch ska band with punk and reggae influences. Their career ran from 1978 to 1984 and they were one of the most successful pop bands in Dutch history. Doe Maar translates as Go Ahead or Just do it, a phrase mostly used in a deprecatory, sulky manner. Doe Maar De Popmusical, is a Dutch musical produced by V&V Entertainment. It premièred on 28-01-2007 in Tilburg. The show on 11-18-2007 (Theater Castellum) was recorded and aired on 01-01-2008.
Joy is a young girl looking for friendship. She thinks to find friends in Roos and Chantal. When Roos and Chantal don't show up at Joy's friendship party, Joy is furious and she thinks out a plan to force her 'so called friends' into a long life friendship: they will make a joy ride to a model competition in Nice and on their way Joy will ensure their friendship with the killing of an innocent passenger.

On Stage is a fake documentary about a promising five-headed cabaret company at the Cabaret Academy, who after their graduation are signed up by an impresario. The latter wants to launch them as real stars, but the troupe appears to be less close-knit than expected, when machinations and mutual competition drive the friends apart and one person is even victimised. The actors really graduated from the Academy in 2003.
