어딘가의 교외에서 누군가를 기다리는 남자와 여자. 그들은 '플루토'와 '젤리피쉬'라는 가명을 쓰며 서로 인사를 하고, 남자의 차로 더욱 교외로 이동한다. 자살 사이트에서 만난 두 사람은 동반 자살하기 위해 만난 것이었다. 도중에 다툼이 있지만, 편안한 대화와 식사를 하며 드라이브를 이어가는 두 사람. 화제는 서서히 자살 방법으로 바뀌고 그 곳에서 남자는 한 가지 제안을 한다. '한 가지 좋은 방법이 있어, 피를 빼는 거야'. 여자는 그 방법을 승낙하고 두 사람은 인기척이 없는 창고에 도착한다. '네가 끝나면 나도 죽을게'라고 말하며 여자를 큰 냉장고 위에 재우고 익숙한듯 채혈 바늘을 양손과 양발에 찌르는 남자. 바늘과 연결 된 긴 관의 끝에는 4개의 병이 있고 그 안으로 여자의 몸에서 빠져나온 피가 쌓여 간다. 그 이후 남자는 도망치듯 창고에서 나오고, 차 트렁크에 놔둔 가방 안에서 피가 든 병을 꺼내 흥분하며 그 피를 마시기 시작한다. 남자의 이름은 사이먼. 알츠하이머에 걸린 어머니를 가진 고등학교 생물교사로, 뱀파이어였다.
