폭포는 30km 이상 먼 곳에서도 눈에 띈다. 마치 폭발할 준비를 마친 거품 화산처럼, 아래로부터 빛나는 구름이 솟아오른다. 주민들은 빅토리아 폭포를 "천둥의 연기"라고 부른다. 건기가 되면 특별한 이주가 시작되고, 코끼리 가족은 100km 떨어진 황게 국립공원에서 이곳으로 온다. 그리곤 놀라운 광경이 일어난다. 코끼리 떼는 마치 거대한 진주 줄처럼 잠베시 강을 헤엄쳐 지나간다.

And beneath the cool sea surface hides a varied and fascinating underwater world: whether majestic basking before the chalk cliffs of Dover or combative gray seals on the beach of Helgoland, whether mighty squid on the Dutch Oosterschelde, or creepy Greenland shark in the Fjords of Norway.
