'이사벨라'는 셰익스피어 고전 속 인물을 매개로 동시대 아르헨티나 여성들의 삶을 이야기해 온 마티아스 피녜이로의 희곡 연작, 그 다섯 번째 작품이다. 마리에는 연극 '자에는 자로 MEASURE BY MEASURE'의 이사벨라 역 오디션을 준비 중이다. 그는 돈이 급해 한동안 연락을 끊었던 형제를 다시 찾고 그 과정에서 그의 애인 루시아나와 만난다. 그런데 둘은 같은 오디션을 준비 중임을 알게 되고, 함께 대사와 움직임을 연습한다. 1년 뒤 예상치 못한 모습으로 다시 만난 그들은 각자의 결심이 만들어낸 행동의 결과를 나눈다. 시간이 교차하는 가운데, 이야기는 인생의 색을 맞추는 퍼즐처럼 펼쳐진다.
