Billy Pols

약력

Billy Pols grew up in South Africa where he spent his early years on a desolated farm making slasher films with his siblings. After moving to The Netherlands he became a sponsored amateur skateboarder, but kept flirting with filmmaking. Billy’s documentary career started when he made PLANK, a multiple award winning film about Nassim Guammaz,a Moroccan skateboarder. Having specialized in visual communication, Billy’s work is often regarded as photographic with a poetic human touch. Underlining his vision on filmmaking that a concept needs to be visualized, not just registered.
