Seiji Kamiya, a pottery craftsman who lives alone in a mountain village, temporarily returns to Japan with his fiancée, Nadia, who has been assigned to work in Algeria. Seiji opposes Satoru, who declares that Seiji should quit the company after marrying and Satoru should take over the pottery business. On the other hand, Marcos, a young Brazilian resident in Japan who lives in an apartment complex in the neighboring town to where Seiji lives, sees Seiji, who helped him when he was being chased and in whom Marcos sees the image of his late father, and he becomes interested in pottery work. Meanwhile, a tragedy strikes Satoru and Nadia, who has returned to Algeria.

Ten years ago Keisuke went to Tokyo to become a musician. He receives a call from his far off hometown informing him of the funeral for his older brother who went missing while fishing at sea. Having lied he achieved success in Tokyo, Keisuke is hesitant but nevertheless returns home. Gathered at his parent's house are his father who lives alone; his brother's ex-wife; Hiroshi, a classmate who was the last to see his brother; and Hiroshi's younger sister Nagi who bears a limp.

To get away once and for all, Samao Daikoku breaks into Daikichi Ebisu's coin locker to steal gold. Daikichi Ebisu is involved in a criminal organization. In the locker, Samao Daikoku finds a hard disk containing personal information on runaways, homeless people, bankrupt people and prostitutes. He hides the hard disk, but is locked up by Daikichi Ebisu. There, he sees a prostitute, Ami Nanmu and he also faces an evil gang boss, Kan Senju. Samao Daikoku is tortured by the gang boss. The mystery behind Samao Daikoku’s past is revealed.
