살아 있는 좀비를 게임하듯 사냥할 수 있는 리조트가 많은 인기를 얻고 있다. 인간을 좀비로 만드는 무서운 크로모신 A형 바이러스로 인해 살아있는 사람과 좀비와의 처절한 전쟁으로 20억 인구가 사라지게 된다. 몇몇의 살아남은 좀비들을 단순한 슈팅게임을 하듯 사냥할 수 있는 리조트가 등장하고 여러가지 이유로 좀비 사파리가 가능한 리조트에 온 방문객들은 게임을 하듯 좀비 사냥을 하며 좀비들에 대한 분풀이를 할 수 있었다. 그러던 중 보안 시스템의 오작동으로 인해 갇혀 있던 좀비들이 풀려나고 이번엔 거꾸로 좀비들이 인간들을 닥치는 대로 사냥하기 시작한다.

중국과 미국의 대립으로 냉전의 분위기가 다시 감돌기 시작한 세계를 배경으로 영국 국방부에서 과학자 맥카시를 주축으로 동료 에이바와 함께 로봇 기술을 개발한다. 빈센트는 로봇을 개발하기 위한 뇌스캔 기술을 아픈 딸을 구하기 위한 방도로 협조하고 있었고, 그 사실을 알게 된 에이바는 빈센트에게 협조해줄 것을 약속한다. 그러나 국방부의 기밀에 접근하게 된 에이바는 기술만 빼앗긴채 살해당하고, 빈센트는 그녀의 뇌스캔 기술로 만들어진 에이바의 얼굴과 이름을 붙여준다. 살인로봇으로 탄생한 머신 에이바는 점차 인간의 감정을 느껴가고, 그녀를 주축으로 머신들은 인간과의 최후의 전쟁을 선포하는데…

The story of martial arts clubs who have created their own city infrastructure after tiring of government initiatives. Responding to the greed and corruption creeping into the other clubs, headed by capitalist-wannabe Moses, The Purifiers battle to maintain the successful system which has rid the city of crime and violence.
