Krishnakumar Ramakumar, also credited as Five Star Krishna, is an Indian film actor who has appeared in Tamil films in supporting roles. He made his debut in Mani Ratnam's production "Five Star" (2002), before playing pivotal roles in "Arinthum Ariyamalum" and "Saravana". Krishna, who had previously apprenticed under Rajiv Menon as an assistant director, was signed on by Susi Ganesan to appear in a leading role in "Five Star", produced by Mani Ratnam. Portraying a runaway husband, he won rave reviews with The Hindu's critic noting "there are scenes where he could have underplayed his emotions a little — but surely the young man has talent". After winning good reviews for his performance in Five Star, Krishna followed it up playing supporting roles in films including Cheran's "Autograph" and as a student leader in Mani Ratnam's "Aaytha Ezhuthu", while also appearing as Dhanush's brother in the romantic comedy, "Thiruda Thirudi". He has since then notably appeared in projects directed by Vishnuvardhan, featuring in four consecutive ventures. He has balanced appearances in films alongside his advertisement agency. In 2008, it was reported that he was set to direct a gangster film titled "Madras" starring Vishnuvardhan's brother Kreshna in the lead role, though the project did not materialise after a spat with the producer.

In the meantime, Kathir and Nisha get their visa and get ready to leave together for USA. The former thinks that he has escaped from his marriage and when he wants to propose to Nisha, he gets a rude shock. She informs him that she is going to USA for her marriage. The film revolves around five individual characters and the events in their life, that, on the one hand, changes everything in their respective lives, which the film's title refers to, and, on the other hand, also brings together these people. It is an anthology film, that contains two parallel moving stories, which are connected by a freak accident in Chennai. A young architect, falls in love with a young beautiful pediatric doctor, runs after her and tries to convince her to marry her, while, simultaneously, a morose ex-football coach troubles a software engineer by vowing to kill his eight-year-old son. How these characters get connected and confronted through the accident forms the crux of the story.

Saravana and Krishna are close buddies in college. Saravana sees a video tape of Krishna's sister Sadhana studying in London and falls in love with her. So to meet her, Saravana goes with Krishna to a village near Tirunelveli where he finds that there is a bloody war going on between two warring caste groups. Krishna's brother Soundarapandi his wife and Krishna are killed by the rival group of Dorai Singam. However Saravana saves Sadhana and takes her to Chennai. Initially Sadhana is not accepted by Saravana's large family but slowly when they come to know about her background they support and love her. The rest of the film is how Saravana tries to help Sadhana to go back to London, and in the process eliminates the entire gang of Dorai Singam single-handedly.

Sanjay (Prashanth) and Nithi (Shalini) are best friends right from their childhood days. They are neighbours, have grown up together, attend the same college and spend every minute of their waking hours together. Both have their admirers in college with Sneha (Jomol) wooing Sanjay and Praveen (Krishna) revealing his love for Nithi. Nithi's week-long trip to Bangalore, along with some prodding by his housemaid, makes Sanjay realise how much he misses Nithi and that he is in love with her. But respect for their friendship and her makes him hide his feelings. Meanwhile, Nithi accepts Praveen's proposal and things quickly move towards their marriage. But when things come together Nithi realises that she cannot stay without Sanjay and at that time he reveals that he too loves her.
