평범한 가장인 로이 레이블은 신통치 않은 배관 설비 외판원으로, 좋은 사람이지만 집에 와서는 아내와 애들은 거들떠 보지 않고 TV앞에 붙어서 떠날 줄을 모른다. 반면 아내 헬렌은 얼마전 경영학 석사를 따고 직장에서도 승진가도를 달리는 능력있는 여자로 아무리 애써도 남편을 TV 앞에서 떼어내지 못한다. 그런 어느 날 아들 대릴과 딸 다이안은 부모들의 생활에 변화를 기대하는 마음으로 친구 집에서 하루밤을 보내기로 한다. 그러나 집에 돌아온 대릴과 다이안은 TV를 보다가 화면 안에서 부모를 발견하게 된다. 로이가 악마와의 섣부른 계약으로 대마왕 스파이크의 TV 지옥으로 끌려들어가 666개의 채널을 돌며 끔찍한 여행을 하고 있는 중인 것이다. 네이블 부부가 살아남기 위해서는 이 채널들 속에서 24시간을 견뎌내야만 한다.
To teach a team of Russian wanna-be baseball players the finer points of the all-American game is no easy task, but for a grudgingly resentful, recently fired baseball manager from the States, the task is formidable. In fact, there are many times when he considers chucking the whole thing and going back home and forgetting baseball entirely. But he perseveres... to the point where he finally believes that his players may be good enough to represent the Soviet Union in the upcoming Olympics in America. However, performing in this Country under such pressures not only shows these Russian players something about themselves, it also makes their American manager aware of something rather special about himself, as well.
Scientists at a secret underground complex have found a way to travel to another dimension. Three dimension-travellers are the first to go through the gate - but are soon attacked by something that interrupts the communication with Earth. This horrible something uses the gate to travel back to the underground complex. Most of the staff are evacuated, except four heavily-armed militaries and Dr. Casserly and Dr. Summerfield who just can't stand each other.
