아드리앙은 약혼자가 없는 사이 평화롭고 금욕적인 휴가를 보내려고 지중해의 별장으로 떠난다. 그런데 별장에는 이미 친구 다니엘과 그가 데려온 소녀가 묵고 있다. 연인 수집이 취미인 소녀는 밤이면 남자들과 어울리고, 그녀로 인해 아드리앙이 소망한 금욕적인 휴가는 혼란에 빠진다.
