Boim (Harry de Fretes), a transit mini-bus driver who has just received eviction compensation from the government, moves to a new home in a real estate development with his family. Juwita (Ade Libertifa), a vegetable seller, who also works at Marlena’s beauty salon, keeps this animosity between the two families stirred up with her constant gossiping. This conflict escalates drastically when the children of Boim and Marlena start going out with one another. To make matters worse, Marlena’s father, Ramon (Robby Tumewu), a horse-cart driver, takes an interest in Boim’s mother, Mak Iting (Titi Dwijayati). In the end, Boim and Marlena fall in love with each other.

This film is an expression of the way of life of adolescents as told from the point of view of the teenagers themselves as they rebel against the world of adults. Susan (Nunu Datau), Dody (Adjie Massaid) dan Rini (Cornelia Agatha) are students at SMA 2000. They have unconsciously formed a kind of gang. The film follows the activities of these young people while they are in school, on holiday, and just hanging around. The film focuses on Rini, nicknamed “tomboy”, an expert in karate who dreams of being a martial arts master and hero.

For disturbing public order, a group of breakdancing teenagers are arrested by the police. Hence, Chicha’s father forbids her to breakdance and Chicha’s boyfriend, Rico, is asked to go his own way. Then parents and teenagers meet to discuss the issue. Chicha continues to breakdance and is even planning a show with her friends. Initially, her father opposes this but finally changes his mind after he sees the successful show. Almost half of the film consists of breakdancing scenes that were popular and polemical in the news at that time.

When Wiwik was transferred to the head office, he found an old friend, Irwan, the head of promotion at Gondo's textile factory.
