남부 캘리포니아를 무대로 활동하는 비행 클럽 ‘플라이 가이즈’는 팀의 리더인 ‘션 스트레거’를 비롯 ‘포맨’, ‘레인맨’ 등으로 구성된 최고의 비행 기술을 자랑하는 클럽이다. 그러나 이들은 클럽의 주요 활동인 곡예 비행쇼 이외에 마약 운반책으로 활동하며 큰 돈을 벌고 있는 범죄자들이기도 하다. 빠른 속도를 이용하여 마약을 안전하게 운송한다는 장점으로 인해 마약 밀매의 큰 손으로 통하는 ‘에스콘디도’의 전용 마약 운반책으로 활약하던 이들의 행적은 비밀마약단속반(DIA)이 ‘에스콘디도’의 뒤를 캐기 시작하면서 드러나게 되고, 이들의 검거를 위해 DIA는 비밀경찰을 투입한다. ‘플라이 가이즈’의 검거를 위해 투입된 여성 비밀경찰 ‘로산나’는 팀의 리더인 ‘스트레거’에게 접근하고 그녀의 치명적인 매력에 빠져든 ‘스트레거’와 그의 팀원들 모두 DIA의 함정수사에 걸려들어 체포되기에 이른다. 이제, 마약 밀매의 큰 손 ‘에스콘디도’의 검거와 인질로 잡혀 있는 비밀경찰의 구출을 위해 DIA는 ‘플라이 가이즈’를 이용하기로 하는데...
