2011년 3월 11일 오후 2시 46분, 동일본 대지진이 발생한다. 후쿠시마 원자력 발전소 제1발전소는 위험한 상황에 빠진다. 원전 안에 남아, 사고를 수습한 후쿠시마 출신의 작업원들은 해외 언론 매체들에 의해 '후쿠시마의 50인(Fukushima 50)'이라고 불렸다. 그 안에서 과연 무슨 일이 일어나고 있었던 것일까? 진실은 무엇일까? 동일본 궤멸이라는 위기가 다가오는 와중에도 고뇌에 찬 결단을 내려야 했던 그들은 과연 무슨 생각을 하고 있었을까?

때는 서기 2265 년 목성 근처에 떠있는 스페이스코로니(우주공간에 만들어진 인공 거주 구역) '우즈시오'. 그곳과 지구를 연결하는 스페이스 간선도로를 사람들은「갤럭시 가도」라고 불렀다. 예전에는 교통량도 많고, 길가 도로변에도 많은 음식점이 늘어서 있었지만, 개통한지 150년 정도가 지났을 무렵,「갤럭시 가도」는 노후화가 현저하게 심해고, 이제 슬슬 폐지 소문도 들려오는 '갤럭시가도'... 오늘도 여러 별에서 외계인들이 '갤럭시가도'에 온다. 모두가 제각각의 고민을 안은 인간미 넘치는 외계인들이다. 등장하는 건 스페이스경비대, 스페이스히어로, 스페이스삐끼(손님 모으는 사람), 스페이스 창부, 스페이스 수의사, 스페이스 공무원, 스페이스 가수, 스페이스 파트타임 아줌마... 전원, 외계인... 그런 '갤럭시 가도' 도로변에 있는 작은 음식점을 무대로 그곳에서 일하는 사람들과 손님들이 만들어내는 외계인들의 인간미 넘치는 삶, 휴먼 드라마를 그린다.

Referred to as the Pearl of the Orient, supermodel Miori Reiko has had her fair share of scandals due to her eccentricity and her wild love affairs. One day, Reiko is found dead in her apartment by her housekeeper, Ota Michiko. The medical examiner found traces of potassium cyanide in her body, which kick-started a major police investigation into her death. Who is the true murderer of Miori Reiko?

Yu Kuroha, a female detective from the Kanagawa PD Mobile Unit, discovers bodies of fourteen men and women frozen to death in a rental container. When the wills of the dead persons were found, her boss decides to treat the case as a simple group suicide. But Kuroha persists that they have to find the leader who assisted this mass murder. She finds out that the number of wills outnumbers the bodies by one. One person did not commit suicide…! Kuroha is a skilled sniper but also a delicate woman who takes refuge in cyberspace. The drama portrays her gaining maturity as a person and a detective by solving the mystery of a group suicide by standing against the mastermind of the case.

Nobuko is a plain, unattractive woman with disheveled hair, and is hired as a housekeeper in the Inamura residence in Tokyo. The Inamuras are a family of six. The father, Tatsuya, is the head of a university hospital's department of internal medicine. He lives with his wife Haruko, their three sons, and Tatsuya's mother, Shigeko. Although the Inamuras appear to be a happy family, Nobuko soon uncovers the truth.

However, she soon finds herself in an awkward position when she learns of the children's new plot: they are planning to steal the treasures from her own castle. Will she be able to put a stop to it without revealing her true identity?

Shohei works as a doctor in a seaside hospital. One day, a new patient is admitted to the hospital with ovarian cancer. Shohei is surprised to recognize Michiko, his first love from high school. Shohei has been leading a dissolute bachelor life, paying for the company of high school girls and dating an older woman who works in a local bar, but in reality, for the last twenty years, he has not forgotten Michiko. Unfortunately though, Michiko doesn't remember him at all. Shohei becomes more and more persistent in his attempts to get her to recall their past. At first she is annoyed by his overtures, but gradually warms to the doctor. Under Shohei's kind and patient care, Michiko's condition improves and her cancer becomes operable. The operation is a success, but now Shohei himself learns that he has terminal cancer.

Yasuo Furuhata directs this romantic yakuza flick based on a book by popular romance novelist Tomiko Miyao. Set in 1932, the film centers on Peony (Yoko Minamino), a geisha who was forced into the business at a young age by her dissipated father.

Set in decadent, chaotic Hong Kong and Tokyo, the film tells the story of a young woman caught up in a mysterious turn of events. A young tour guide, 23-year-old Mamiko who's had her heart set on Paris, finds herself swept off to booming Hong Kong where she is thrown into the midst of a high-profile burglary case.
