세계적인 경주용 명차(名車)를 만들어 최고의 권위를 자랑하는 '사하라 월드 랠리'에서 우승하고 업계의 인정을 받는 것이 꿈인 고든은 새로운 차 '고든 패커드'를 개발하느라 많은 빚을 지게 되고 회사를 살리기 위해 투자자를 찾는다. 뛰어난 카 레이서인 고든의 딸 데일(브룩 실즈 분)은 투자자 앞에서 인상적인 시범 운전을 해내고, 투자자는 '사하라 월드 랠리'에서의 우승이라는 마지막 조건을 내건다. 그러나 시범 운행 도중 차의 변속 장치에 발생한 결함을 해결하기 위해 고속도로로 차를 몰고 나간 고든은 큰 사고를 당하고, 딸 데일에게 "사하라 랠리에서 기필코 우승하여 회사를 살리라."는 유언을 남긴 채 숨진다. 정비팀 앤디와 스트링과 함께 모로코에 도착한 데일은 '출발선에 여자를 세우지 않는다'는 대회 규약에 걸리지 않기 위하여 남장을 하고, 영국, 프랑스, 독일, 이탈리아, 스웨덴에서 출전한 다섯 팀과 함께 사하라 사막 횡단이라는 대장정에 오른다. 공교롭게도 이 때는 사하라 사막을 주름잡는 두 부족인 샴브라와 하만차간에 종족 분쟁이 일기 시작한 시기였는데...

Shahar is an unemployed filmmaker. His father, Sleiman, suggests that Shahar make a film about the Jewish Brigade, in which he served during WWII. Shahar becomes enthusiastic after discovering that his father may have impregnated two Dutch women while abroad and decides to make the film hoping to find his father’s lost offspring. Together they set out along the trail of the Jewish Brigade, beginning in Israel, through Italy and Germany, and ending in the Netherlands with a surprising discovery.
