A youth film about four city lasses.

Before he was crowned one of the "Four Heavenly Kings", Andy Lau starred in the 1989 gangster film Runaway Blues. He plays Lam, a Taiwan gangster who flees to Hong Kong after killing a rival gangster. Hiding at his uncle gang boss Lip's place, he gets embroiled in more gang conflicts and is forced to be an informant for the police. Lam runs away to Guangzhou and Macau with Lip's mistress, causing an enraged Lip to be hot on his trail.

Legendary writer/television host/film producer Chua Lam produced the 1988 erotic drama Flirting, starring Alex Man, Ng Siu Gong, pink film actress Aoki Yuko, and Maria Yuen. A morality tale about carnal desire and betrayal, Ng stars as Sai, a rural villager who leaves his young wife behind and goes to Hong Kong to find work. He shares an apartment with best friend Choi (Alex Man), a rough womanizer who goes to Thailand and brings home new Thai wife Aoki (Aoki Yuko). As Sai is forced to hear Choi and Aoki having sex next door every night, his own desire escalates to the point where he starts to spy on the newly married couple. When Choi can't even keep down his womanizing ways in the presence of his wife, Aoki goes to Sai for consolation. However, the two are unable to hold their desires any longer, beginning a steamy affair that may lead to fatal consequences.

묘한 인연으로 맺어진 한 남자와 세 여자중 한 여자가 살해 당하고, 그 사건을 해결해야 하는 시한부 인생의 형사가 그들 사이에 개입되어 전개되는 이야기. 나이트 클럽에서 쌀집 사장 아들과 삼류 연예인인 세 여자가 만난다. 한 여자가 죽는 사건이 발생하면서 난치병에 걸린 형사가 그들 사이에 끼어든다. 아무런 열정없이 무위의 날들을 보내던 젊은이에게 35살의 나이로 홍콩에서 암으로 병사하는 형사반장은 이렇게 말한다. 젊은이들이 허황되게 사는 모습을 보니까 죽는 게 억울하지 않다 그러자 젊은이는 울먹이면서 처음으로 자신의 좌절감을 토로한다. 홍콩 뉴웨이브 출신의 감독들 중에서 현재 가장 촉망받고 있는 홍콩 아트 필림의 미래, 관금붕 감독의 2번째 연출작이다. 감독 자신은 가장 아끼는 영화라고 하지만 개봉당시에는 흥행에서 참패했다.지하정>은 뉴웨이브 감독이 바라본 홍콩 젊은이들의 자화상이다.관금붕은 다른 뉴웨이브 감독들처럼 TV에서 일하다가 허안화 감독의 조감독으로 영화계에 입문했고 이 영화에서는 여주인공 빌리의 오빠로 카메오 출연해 모습을 드러낸다.

Liang Pao-erh joins the carefree “Spinsters’ Club” when she discovers her husband is having an affair.
