The film takes place in Kiev during the day. Daniel Pritulyak is serving foreigners as guide, who invents a route for the Americans on the life of an obscure but talented poet Danila Pritulyak.

An American journalist is traveling to Russia to find the newly invented "Love vaccine".

To be able to somehow survive, two students pretend to be businessmen from a fictional international business company. Acquainted with several girls, they choose the richest one and marry her. This is followed by a robbery and a search for the criminals by the police.

The story develops in a couple of years before the collapse of the USSR. Masha is a young, energetic girl, who has decided to make an adventurous journey across mountain Crimea. On the road she meets a funny man in a bowler hat and vest, who is trying to start his old car with a sledgehammer. Masha decided to become a fellow traveler of the mysterious mustachioed character.

The Hitlerian army has merely encroached upon the territory of Ukraine, and the majority of the local people have been already ready to cave in to a new regime. The Ukrainian policemen have killed the boy. It is clear that there is no hope to expect the justice from the invaders, that’s why the killed boy’s mother declares the war on the hangsman.

The young man decides to go into business. The main advantage of "novice businessman" is a great ability to mimic other people's voices.

1986, Chernobyl disaster. Couples, friends, and a risk-taking journalist are woven into the larger framework of the disaster. Panic follows.

Another planet in the period of medieval times. An employee of the institute of experimental history from Earth, who is send under the name of noble don Rumata of Estor as a spy with a mission to contact the local resident of the institute, arrives in the city of Arkanar. But the resident perishes under an unlucky attempt to make a palace coup, and Rumata have to take his place as the resident. Soon he meets all the horrors of the medieval society - a peasant war, palace coups, mass executions. To continue to be an indifferent watcher of all these horrors turns out to be simply impossible...

The action takes place in the Ukrainian Carpathians in the First World War. The plot - twists and turns of life's journey of the traveler, adventurer, traveling actor and philosopher Ivan Kalita.

A strange combination of circumstances leads the forty-year-old engineer Igor into the hall of the old cinema, where the film session has already begun. The main character of the picture is the poet Belov, the same romantic loser, disappointed in himself and in everything - surprisingly similar to him. Moreover, Igor soon realizes that he is looking from the side at his own life. What is happening on the screen becomes a shock and revelation for him. In the dark hall of the mysterious cinema, fate gives Igor the only chance to start all over again.

A young boy tries to earn some money by "renting" his dog to the film studio.

Mavka, a water nymph, loves Lukash, a country youth. Their brief happiness ends when Lukash is forced to marry the shrewish Kilina. The Spirit of the Forest turns Lukash into a wolf as punishment for his infidelity. The strength of Mavka's love breaks the spell, but Kilina curses the nymph, transforming her into a weeping willow. This beautiful and tragic story is based on a play written in 1912 by Lesya Ukrainka, a Ukrainian poet, writer and political, civil and female activist, and includes mythological characters taken from Ukrainian folklore.
