John Vamvas

음악가 삐에르 폴데스의 첫 애니메이션. 무라카미 하루키의 여러 단편을 각색한 작품이다. 하루키의 소설에서 자주 나타나는 설정처럼 여자들은 다른 차원에 이끌려 사라지고, 남자들은 신비한 고양이들의 인도를 받으며 사람처럼 말하는 거대한 개구리와 같은 가상의 존재를 만난다.

주인공 카렌(이로나 엘킨 분)이 광신도 집단의 무차별 살인에 휘말리게 되는 이야기. 지하철과 지하 터널을 주요 무대로 하여 음침하고 어두운 공포분위기를 효과있게 연출한다.

Luigi (John Vamvas) is a delusional gangster madly in love with his ditzy gangster moll wife Holly (Olga Montes). The larger-than-life couple are celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary at a low rent Las Vegas motel. While deeply in love, Luigi and Holly share an inability to live in the present. Luigi a walking film projector, playing out the favorite gangster movies of his mind. While Holly's exuberant exterior hides a troubled past bubbling to the surface of their relationship.
