새 학기를 맞이한 방콕의 사왓디 고등학교. 국제수학올림피아드에서 금메달을 딴 아논(Arnold의 태국식 발음)은 학교의 ‘모범 학생’이 되어 교장 선생님의 총애를 받는다. 좋은 대학에 진학하는 것이 지상 목표인 이곳에서 검은 유혹의 손길이 다가오자 갈등하기 시작하는 아논. 한편 학교에서 일어난 체벌 사건이 소셜미디어에 공유되며 학생들의 공분을 불러일으킨다.

기괴할 정도로 큰 규모에 우주선을 닮은 금빛 타원형의 불교 사원 ‘담마카야’는 태국에서 가장 크고 부유한 절로 유명하다. 수백만에 이르는 신도를 거느린 태국 불교의 아이콘이자 전 세계 불자들에겐 성지순례지로 꼽히는 곳이지만 동시에 수상한 돈 냄새가 진동하는 곳이기도 하다. 2016년, 돈세탁과 장물 취득 혐의로 담마카야의 큰스님에 대한 체포영장이 발부되면서, 법을 집행하려는 군부 정권과 신도들을 앞세운 전능한 불교 사원이 격하게 충돌한다.

One day in Spring, a college student Sayaka visits Shonan with Yui. Sayaka is secretly attracted to Yui, but Yui's best friend Momoko was waiting for them. The three girls started to stay at a holiday villa by the beach. Sayaka's anger and disdain towards Yui intensify as she finds it hard to keep up the pace with Yui and Momoko and there was an uncomfortable feeling among them. At the same time, there was Akihiro who was invited to the same villa to play at a party. While the girls enjoy chatting about Akihiro, he became interested in Sayaka and tries to attract her. Meanwhile, a Korean international student Min Jun cajoles Yona, who came to visit colleges for her study abroad, to come to the villa with him.

Once upon a time, cinema was mainstream entertainment in Thailand. Movie theaters in Thailand were the place where families hung out. 30 years ago, there were 140 standalone movie theaters in Bangkok. As time went by, old-fashioned movie theaters are forgotten. Most of them became second-class movie theater showing double feature or pornography and eventually closed down. Thonburi Rama is the last second class movie theater that opened until 2013 , when it had to close down. After the closure of Thonburirama, Rit, a projectionist who worked there for more than 25 years became a jobless person. His knowledge of film projecting became useless. He turned into an alcoholic and tried to study Dharma. Sometimes what he spoke were things that he mixed the reality with his own fantasy. Rit went back to his hometown where his wife and daughter owned a rubber plantation, but he felt that he didn’t fit in and lost all hope.
