세상을 구원할 미친 존재감! 사이즈부터 거대한(?) 히어로가 왔다! 뉴욕 신문사에서 10년째 우편 관리만 하고 있는 남자 걸리버(잭 블랙). 그의 하루 일과는 짝사랑 그녀 달시(아만다 피트)의 여행 칼럼을 읽는 것으로 시작된다. 언젠가 자신도 유명한 여행 작가가 되는 꿈에 젖어 있지만, 막상 세상에 나가 도전하기에는 너무도 겁이 많다. 그저 입만 열었다 하면 뻥으로 경력을 부풀려 성공한 척 하던 그가 짝사랑 그녀에게도 본의 아닌 허풍을 늘어놓은 덕분에 졸지에 버뮤다 삼각지대 여행기를 맡게 된다. 하지만 여행 도중, 난데없는 급류에 휘말리면서 소인국 ‘릴리풋’에 표류하게 된 걸리버. 뉴욕에서는 그저 찌질남이던 그가 이곳에서는 수호자이자, 영웅으로 불리게 된 걸리버. 과연 이 상황을 어떻게 ‘즐~’하게 바꿀 수 있을까..?

Based on Jonathan Swift's 'Gulliver's Travels', this Hungarian tv-movie is the adaptation of Part Two (Gulliver in Brobdingnag).

Gulliver washes ashore on Lilliput and attempts to prevent war between that tiny kingdom and its equally minuscule rival, Blefuscu. This version of Gulliver's Travels aired in 1979 on CBS as part of "Famous Classic Tales".

Based on the novel of the same name by Jonathan Swift and built around the Lilliput and Blefuscu episode. It was made partly in live action and partly animated.

The story concerns a homeless boy named Ricky, or Ted in the Japanese version. After seeing a movie about Gulliver he meets Professor Gulliver himself in a forest. Gulliver is now an elderly, space-traveling scientist. With Dr. Gulliver's assistant Sylvester the crow (named Crow in the Japanese edition), and Ricky's companions, a talking dog and a toy soldier, they travel the Milky Way to the Planet of Blue Hope, which has been taken over by the Queen of Purple Planet and her evil group of robots. Armed with water-pistols and water balloons, which melt the villains, Ricky and Gulliver restore Blue Hope to its doll-like owners.

정직하고 성실한 의사 걸리버가 이상한 나라들을 여행하면서 겪은 그 나라의 정치와 풍습, 생활방식 등 인간 내면의 사악함과 정치의 부조리를 과장하지 않고 차분하게 보고서 형식의 문체로 소설을 전개시켰다. 인맥과 친분관계로 돌아가는 부조리한 현실에 비관한 외과 의사 걸리버는 남쪽 바다를 함께 항해하자는 윌리엄 프리처드 선장의 제안을 받아들여 기나긴 항해에 나선다. 첫번째 항해에서 난파당해 도착한 곳은 ‘소인국의 나라’. 12센티미터 밖에 되지 않는, 그야말로 작은 인종들이 사는 작은 국가에서 그는 거인이 된다. 그의 소인국 체험 일기가 담긴 1부는 영국의 왕궁과 정치를 풍자한 것이며, 인간의 도덕적 타락과 정신적 왜소함에 대해 가혹하게 비판한 것이다. 소인국을 탈출한 걸리버가 두번째로 착륙한 곳은 ‘ 거인국의 나라’이다. 그는 거꾸로 자신이 소인이 되어 벌과 쥐, 고양이에게 위협을 느끼며, 오만 방자하고 타락한 거인들의 노리개가 된다.

The story, a Communist re-telling of Gulliver's Travels, is about a young boy who dreams of himself as a version of Gulliver who has landed in Lilliput suffering under capitalist inequality and exploitation.

In the dwarf kingdom of Lilliput, people were celebrating the engagement of the Princess Piccolina. Meanwhile, the rumor eventually reached the ears of Gigas the Tall and he had his men bring him the princess. General Tom Thumb gathered his army and attacked the palace of the Giants.

Stop-motion film from Émile Cohl has a clown walk out in front of a group of people and do various tricks including standing on his head, riding a horse and falling face first off the horse.

Georges Méliès' adaptation of Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels" is most distinguished, today, for being a color film of the classic story. Color was rare in 1902 (and many years after) as non-tinted color has to be hand painted on the film; this was an arduous task. Also notable is the film's short running time of approximately five minutes. Much of the original work is not covered, but viewers were expected to be familiar with the story, and enjoy the filmed highlights. There are a couple of scenes missing; according to contemporary reports, Gulliver's shipwreck was certainly included. You can do a lot in a few minutes, as Mr. Méliès includes a re-make of his own "Une partie de cartes" (1896), which already looked like something previously covered by the Lumière Brothers.
