A young Roman woman during the 1950s is on the verge of becoming engaged to a man. She goes to Cinecittà to do an audition as an extra and is thrust into this almost infinite night during which she discovers herself.

In a scorching Rome, flooded with waste and electric scooters, Al is a serial dreamer who feels destined for success. When he helplessly witnesses the disintegration of his dream to make it big with his rock band, fate points him toward a second path: a phone containing evidence of a crime. This mix create a grotesque journey through power, sex and will of people who does everything to be successful. Pier is a powerful and important Mogul who keeps the power in his country. Elegant, ironical and well educated, he has a bizarre sexual instinct which is satisfied by her mistress, Romy, who collect people, men and women (musicians, directors, writers and businessmen) which agree to satisfy his weird fantasies for getting his help to the way to success. Like a Decameron, a group of people in a house meet their pride and greed for power and sex.

Emma, 20 years old, wants to discover the truth regarding her parents. How did they meet? Why did her father suddenly disappear? She uses her imagination to travel back in time only to find that some pieces of the puzzle are still missing.
