Hicran runs away from home when she is forced into an engagement with Rıza by her father. Rıza, who thinks that Hicran doesn't want to be with him, doesn't care at first. But when it begins to bother him, he decides to confront the situation and embarks on a long search for her in Istanbul.
"Çalsin Sazlar" tells the story of two friends, both dreamers and easy going, who fall in love with the same girl and the resulting relationships involving passion, conflict and friendship from a fun yet naively sorrow perspective. Encompassing the tragic lives of three characters and enriched by the various depths in each of their lives, this fiction portrays a love story using a "different" approach for Turkish cinema.
이란의 이슬람혁명 당시 반혁명 죄로 30년간 투옥되었던 쿠르드족 시인 사데그 카망가르의 실화를 바탕으로 만든 영화이다. 쿠르드족으로 인기 시인인 사헬과 아내 미나는 이슬람혁명기에 체포되어 투옥된다. 5년 후 풀려난 뒤 미나는 남편이 죽은 것으로 알고, 교도소에서 낳은 아이들을 키우며 살다가 터키로 이주한다. 30년 뒤 풀려난 사헬은 터키로 그들을 만나러 가지만, 또 다른 비극을 맞는다. 그리고, 이 모든 비극의 원흉인 악바르를 죽이고, 자신의 죄값도 치르려 한다. 사헬 역의 베흐루즈 보수기와 미나 역의 모니카 벨루치의 열연은 이 작품의 비장미를 극대화한다. Ozgur is a young woman who is the daughter of a refugee family fled to France. She is born and raised in Paris. After her father Huseyin's death, she comes to Istanbul to fulfill Huseyin's last wish. He wanted to be buried in his own country. But because of September 12 military coup d'etat period, Huseyin is no more a Turkish citizen. So this happens to be a great obstacle for Ozgur. This will force Ozgur to a journey both in Istanbul and herself. In this journey Ozgur will meet with her father's and mother's relatives who are completely different people. Most importantly she will meet with Ferhat who will deeply effect her. This journey will become a confrontation with themselves and 2011's Turkey for Ozgur and Ferhat.
