Follows the journey of Natalie "Honey Bee" Sorensen, an underage truck stop prostitute trapped in a human trafficking ring until she is transplanted into foster care in remote Northern Ontario and forced to confront her identity.

Pop superstar Adelaide Kay is so fed up with her controlling manager that she sneaks off the tour bus after their latest squabble. Though exhilarated to be free, she finds herself stranded in the freezing cold of a Pennsylvania winter, with no money and no plan. A local family, the Lapps, take her in. They know the true meaning of the season, even if they’re close to losing their dairy farm. No one in the family recognizes Adelaide except Dillon, the oldest son. He figures she’s the ticket to fast cash and plots to snap photos of Adelaide around the farm and sell them to the tabs. What he doesn’t plan, however, is their mutual attraction.

언니가 가출한 후 처음 친구들과 여행을 가는 에이드리언. 버스를 훔쳐 타고 별장으로 향하던 중 버스가 고장 나고 만다. 할 수 없이 근처에 있던 집에서 묵기로 하지만 집안엔 심상치 않은 기운이 감돈다. 사람이 살지 않을 거 같던 집에서 일행은 살인마의 흔적을 발견하고 몰래 일행을 감시하던 살인마도 움직이기 시작한다. 에이드리언은 가출한 줄 알았던 언니의 물품을 발견하게 되고 언니의 죽음을 직감한다. 이야기로 전해지던 조드 일가의 공포가 점차 현실이 되어가고 점점 일행의 목을 조여 온다. 과연 살인마의 정체는 무엇이고 이 지옥 같은 곳에서 모두 무사히 살아나갈 수 있을 것인지...

한 소년과 아기 곰의 어드벤처. 엄마와 떨어진 아기 곰을 살던 곳에 데려다 주려는 소년 루크는 그 과정에서 뜻하지 않은 사고를 겪게 되고, 위험한 상황에 처한다. 하지만 결국 역경을 뚫고 아기 곰을 자연으로 돌려보내며, 다행히 소년도 무사히 돌아온다. 자연을 통해 성장하는 소년의 이야기가 중심이지만, 이 영화의 진짜 의도는 북극권의 경이로운 자연을 최대한 다양하고 인상적으로 보여주는 것. 이 지역의 각종 동물들을 비롯해 폭풍이나 우박 같은 돌발적인 기상 상황과 빙하가 갈라지는 모습 등은 아름다우면서도 인상적인 스펙터클이다. 루크 역의 다코타 고요는 ‹리얼 스틸›(2011)의 주인공 소년으로 잘 알려진 배우. 아기 곰 피주의 리얼한 연기도 영화의 재미에 한몫한다.
