MADE IN VENICE takes you on a rippin' ride with the skateboarders of Venice, from "raising hell" on the beach in their teens to turning pro in the 80's and putting "street skating" on the global map. But their biggest challenge of all wasn't becoming skateboarding legends, it was about getting what they dreamed of, and really wanted... a skatepark on Venice Beach for the community and the pro skates of tomorrow.

Steve Rocco, the controversial godfather of street, led a cultural revolution during the early 1990s topping the corporate giants who controlled the skateboard industry and ushering in the most degenerate, savage, innovative & entertaining era in the history of skateboarding. For better or worse his legacy shaped skateboarding as we know it today like no other.

1970년대 중반, 캘리포니아 주 베니스. 문을 닫은 휴양지 퍼시픽 오션 파크에서 파도타기를 즐기던 '독타운' 출신의 10대들이 제파이어 스케이트 팀(일명 Z-보이스)에 합류한다. 파도타기를 스케이트보드에 응용하는 등 하루종일 새로운 스케이트보드 타기 기술 개발에 열중하는 Z-보이스는 인근 지역의 새로운 화제로 떠오르고 매스컴과 프로모터들로부터 주목을 받는다. 과연 이들의 우정은 자신들의 열정이 비즈니스화되었을 때도, 그리고 자신들이 소위 말하는 '유명인사'가 되었을 때도 유지될 수 있을까?
