새로운 시대정신(ZEITGEIST) 다큐멘타리 시리즈로 혹자는 석유회사들의 사주로 만들어져 실패했다는 엉뚱한 이야기도 있었다. 하지만 이는 인디 다큐멘타리로 이익보다는 정보를 제공하는 개인적으로는 아주 재미있는 영상물이라고 생각한다. 돈에 대한 이야기들, 역사에 대한 이야기들, 종교에 대한 이야기들을 담는데 대부분 충격적이다.
