Screenplay
머나먼 남쪽 끝 펭귄나라. 만월절이 가까와 올 수록 총각 펭귄들은 페블을 찾느라고 정신이 없다. 자신의 짝에게 줄 약혼 선물을 준비해야하기 때문. 부끄럼장이 펭귄 휴비(Hubie: 마틴 쇼트 목소리 분)도 열심히 페블을 찾는다. 그가 꿈꾸던 소녀 마리나(Marina: 애니 골든 목소리 분)에게 선물할 완벽한 페블을. 지성이면 감천이라 어느날 하늘에서 떨어진 페블. 그것은 영롱한 빛을 발하는, 그야말로 아름다운 마리나에게 줄 완벽한 페블이다. 하지만 휴비의 페블을 탐내는 자가 있었으니, 그것은 다름아닌 악당 드레이크(Drake: 팀 커리 목소리 분). 드레이크도 마리나를 좋아했던 것. 휴비가 페블을 안 내놓으려 하자, 드레이크는 휴비를 무서운 바다 고래가 사는 바닷속으로 던져버린다. 정신없이 바다 속을 헤메던 그는 바다 동물들을 잡아다가 동물원에 팔아넘기는 미저리호에 끌려간다. 그 곳에서 로코(Rocko: 제임스 벨루시 목소리 분)라는 모험심이 강한 펭귄을 만나게 된다. 자나깨나 마리나 생각뿐인 휴비는 하늘을 나는게 꿈인 로코와 함께 미저리호를 탈출하여 고향으로 떠난다.
